COX requires all the systems utilizing COX email accounts to use more safe port settings. To update your COX Email Settings, follow these pointers.
On the devices that send email from the COX email address, launch the email client and go to ‘Settings.’
After finding existing outgoing server settings, update the fields mentioned below.
For outgoing email, enable SMTP authentication.
If the encryption type is SSL/TLS, enter 465 in the port number.
If the type of encryption is TLS, enter 587 as the port number.
